Commissioning at Holy Trinity Parish Church, Sutton Coldfield
What a joy to welcome our newly trained chaplains at our annual Commissioning Service on 16th November. These new Chaplains have been sent to serve at:
Birmingham Airport
Boldmere Shopping Centre
Perry Barr Garage – NX Bus
Solihull Town Centre
We were able to celebrate the amazing ministry of workplace chaplains, welcoming new trustees, commissioning new chaplains and thanking retiring trustees.

Commissioning at Northgate Methodist Church
Congratulations Karen on being commissioned in your home church, Northgate Methodist, Warwick as Chaplain to the Warwick Hub of The West Midlands Ambulance Service. In addition to her minister, Revd Sally Jones, she was joined by five chaplains from the the Health Service, Buses, Methodist Church, Birmingham Bull Ring, and her team leader from the Black Country Urban Industrial Mission. One of her church supporters presented her with an embroidered certificate.

Commissioning at Shirley Baptist Church
Great to attend Shirley Baptist Church’s morning service, where their Minister Matt Wilson commissioned Chris Jones as a Chaplain, and Dave Parsons as our IT Administrator. A great example of the partnership between our chaplains’ home churches and WWM.

Birmingham Airport Carol Service
Brilliant carol service at the airport organised by the chaplaincy team. 50+ people participated and many more passengers and families joined in as they went past. Well done team! The special guest appeared here as well but seeme to have grown his beard on the journey from the Frankfurt Market!

Our Annual Commissioning Service
WorkCare West Midlands first Commissioning Service. A good time to reflect on the past, particularly thanking those chaplains and trustees from the two previous chaplaincies. However, more than that, we looked forward to the years ahead.
